The Life of Jesus Study Now Available
The Life of Jesus study is now available at the Vibble Book Store.

The people suffered under two oppressive systems. On the one hand they lived under the shadow of the Mighty Roman Eagle and the “Good News” of peace on Earth through the military power of the lord and savior, Caesar. On the other hand they suffered the judgment and condemnation of the religious elite that believed Jehovah’s grace was only large enough for law abiding Jews. The radical teacher from Nazareth, named Jesus, came to tear down both of these destructive systems and offer an alternative way of being. He offered a new kind of kingdom where love, mercy, and forgiveness was the path to true life.
In this study you will follow Jesus’ life story as it is recorded in the four gospels of the New Testament - Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. All four Gospels have been combined to create one continuous story. The study is divided into 15 Sessions with 5 lessons each. On your own you will read the text, answer the study questions, and chew on the ‘food for thought’. There is also a “just for kids” section to involve the whole family. Ideally you will gather with others in a small group or house church to discuss your findings and encourage each other to follow the teachings of Jesus.

The brilliant engineers over at Logos have done it again. Now they have a program that allows instant Bible References for web pages. All I have to do is list a reference, like John 3:16, and the reader will be able to hover over it and read the passage. Very cool. Thanks, Logos.

First Vibble Books Title in Print
The Overflow Principle is now in print! This is a 7-week small group Bible study that explores what it means to love God with a whole heart and love your neighbor as yourself.
The study first looks at how to cultivate a loving relationship with God in three ways: receiving God's love with your MIND, with your SPIRIT, and with your BODY. Then it looks at practical ways to overflow God's love to your neighbor. First it looks at loving your COMFORTABLE NEIGHBOR -- your family, friends, and faith/social community. Then, it looks at the heart of the Gospel and exposes the fact that the true neighbor is your UNCOMFORTABLE NEIGHBOR - the person who is different from you, and perhaps a little scary to you, or even your enemy.
The way of Jesus is a way of love that sees beyond the external trappings of class, race, politics, and creed, and sees the preciousness of the human being as a beautiful creation of God that longs to belong as an equal member of God's family, and in so being, deserves our unconditional love. It is a way of being that looks into the eyes of the persecutor and says, "Forgive them, for they know not what they do." It is the way that remembers Jesus' words, "What you have done for the least of these, you have done for me."
